El gran Gatsby (The Great Gatsby, en su título original en inglés) es una novela de F. Scott Fitzgerald publicada en 1925. La historia se desarrolla en Nueva York y Long Island en los años 20 del siglo XX. Ha sido descrito a menudo como el reflejo de la era del jazz en la literatura estadounidense.

El público no acogió bien la novela de Fitzgerald cuando se publicó y se vendieron menos de 24.000 ejemplares hasta la muerte del autor. Durante la Gran Depresión y la Segunda Guerra Mundial cayó en el olvido. En los años 50 se reeditó y encontró rápidamente un amplio círculo de lectores. What I Talk About When I Talk About Running is a memoir by Haruki Murakami in which he writes about his interest and participation in long-distance running. Murakami started running in the early 1980s and since then has competed in over twenty marathons and an ultramarathon.

The book's title was inspired by Raymond Carver's collection of short stories entitled What We Talk About When We Talk About Love.
